HIGH TECHNOLOGY FILTERS SA   Greece

High Technology Filters (HTF) SA is an innovative spin-off of the Membranes for Energy and Environmental applications Laboratory (MESL), National Research Center Demokritos.

HTF focuses on the development and up-scaling of novel membranes and catalysts, the development of novel catalytic membranes and the development of novel membrane intensified processes. In addition, flexible spherical carbon sorption and catalytic filters are produced by HTF.

As novel catalytic membranes HTF develops hierarchically structured carbon nanotube array nanostructures (HSCN) that are designed to encapsulate metal catalyst particles.

ROLE IN PROJECT:

HTF will be involved the preparation of Cu based CNT catalysts for the CO2 conversion to DME, the development of a novel hydrogen spill over reactor for the CO2 hydrogenation and the development of the CVD modified molecular sieving membrane for the cost-effective separation  and recycle of the unreacted hydrogen, CO2 and methanol from the DME product. HTF lead Task 1.2 Innovative catalyst particle confinement in stable and robust ‘aligned’ carbon nanotube (ACNT).
