On the 6th of December, the CO2Fokus final conference and workshop took place!
The event has been hosted at Radisson Izmir Aliaga facilities, a magnificent location that has welcomed CO2Fokus partners, speakers, stakeholders.
After some welcoming introductions by our coordinator Vesna Middelkoop from Vito and Celal Güvenç OĞULGÖNEN from SOCAR, here is a recap of the sessions:
- “Presentation of the LCA, S-LCA analysis, exploitation and market studies conducted in CO2Fokus” by ADRIANA DIAZ (ECO) and ADÉOLA JAIYEOLA (LGI)
- “Presentation of CO2FOKUS Catalyst Development” by GIUSEPPE BONURA (CNR-ITAE)
- “Latest status and developments in de-carbonization and carbon dioxide removal“ by SERHAT CAN BAYAR and DOĞAN ÇIÇEK from (Some Carbon Energy)
- “Multi-scale sustainable process design for CO2-hydrogenation to DME” by HAMID REZA GODINI from (C1 Green Chemicals) AG
- “Policy developments in Europe around CO2 utilisation to produce CCU fuels and CCU chemicals” by Tudy Bernier from CO2 Value Europe
- “Renewable & Recycled Carbon DME for a Sustainable Future” by Sophia Haywood from Dimeta
Many interesting points raised and many involving debates started.
